Here’s an overall description of the saddles currently in stock.

This is a special batch of saddles… Different than what I usually order from Five Star.

Designed to help you ride in balance and sit the big stop

I wanted these saddles to have more “character” than the saddles I normally order.

Hand finished with a more “western” look. Kind of a “custom” look.

On these, you can actually see the “grain” of the leather… plus some of the small scars and imperfections that a cowhide may normally have.

They’re pretty enough for the show ring but ride way better than most show saddles. Super comfortable for both horse and rider.

Notice the chestnut colored saddles. I had Five Star apply the oil lighter or heavier in certain parts of the saddle. This resulted in parts of the saddles being a darker or lighter color. A more “custom” look.

The dark “walnut” colored saddles have more of the typical show finish. A solid “even” color with no variation like the chestnut saddles.

All the saddles are built on a wooden tree coated with fiberglass for extra strength. Average weight is 34 to 36 lbs.

The tree has Quarter Horse bars with a 7 inch wide gullet and will comfortably fit a wide range of horses.

Because the stirrup leathers, seat and pocket are designed correctly, they are excellent for almost any event… even reining, cutting and cow horse events. Plus the seat is comfortable enough for an all-day trail ride.
